Description
Also known as Irish, Scots, Coarse-Cut or Steel Cut Oats. Oats are high in potassium, have useful amounts of calcium and are a good source of protein.
Great for porridge.
1. Bring the water and/or milk to a boil.
2. Reduce to medium to low heat and stir in the oats.
3. Stir occasionally, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid.
4. Remove from the heat, cover and let stand for 2-3 minutes.
