From the same plant family as horseradish and mustard. It is often made into a paste. 

Paste preparation instructions:
* Add cold water to the wasabi powder using a 1:1 ratio. 
* Adjust the amount of water to make your preferred thickness.
* After mixing thoroughly, store in an airtight container to retain the fresh flavor & spiciness.
