Description
An excellent addition to soups, stews, salads and pilafs, freekeh can be cooked like rice or barley and works well as a stuffing.
Use one part freekeh to five parts liquid. Rinse it before adding to boiling salted water or stock. Return to the boil, cover and simmer for 15 – 20 minutes or until tender.
